PIECU now offers a free Rewards Checking Account! Rewards checking accounts pay a higher yield dividend on balances up to $10,000 when certain qualifications are met. To earn your reward you must meet the following four qualifications each cycle: 
• Post and Clear 20 Debit Card Purchases 
• Post and Clear 1 Direct Deposit 
• Receive Electronic Statement 
• Access Online Banking

Each cycle you meet the qualifications, you receive 0.50% APY* on balances up to $10,000. On balances over $10,000, you receive 0.05% APY*. Rewards checking account features also include:
• No Minimum required balance
• No Monthly Maintenance Fee 
• Easy access via MasterCard Debit 
• Unlimited check writing ability
• Monthly statements
• Overdraft Protection available
• Audio Response Unit (ARU)
• Online Banking and Bill Pay

*APY=Annual Percentage Yield. Rewards checking yield 0.50% APY (effective 01/01/2021) paid on balances between one penny and $10,000, and 0.05% APY paid on all amounts above $10,000 each cycle the minimum qualifications are met. If you do not meet the qualifications per cycle, your account will still function as a free checking account but will not earn any dividends. Rates as of January 1, 2021. We may change the dividend rate and APY at any time after the account is opened without notice at Board's discretion. Must have already established a share savings account to open a rewards checking. Must receive approval code from Telecheck Services to establish checking account.
